Visit Policies

  • To ensure an enjoyable experience for all visitors, the Museum requires adult chaperones (at least 18 years of age) for every group in addition to the teacher/group leader. The group leader should be free to circulate among students.
  • Grades K - 5 must have a group leader plus one chaperone for every 8 students.
  • Ages 3 - 5 must have a group leader plus one chaperone for every 4 students.
  • Groups who do not bring the required number of chaperones will be charged regular admission ($12.00) for each extra child.
  • Groups who bring more chaperones than children will be charged regular admission ($12.00) for each extra chaperone.

  • You must have a minimum of 10 children (over 12 months of age) to receive the group rate.
  • There is no charge for a proportionate number of chaperones or teachers. (See full chaperone policy and ratios above.)
  • A non-refundable deposit of $48.00 is due 3 weeks after booking your visit.
  • The balance is due on the day of your visit.
  • The Museum accepts cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and purchase orders.
  • Passes, discount coupons and membership cards will not be accepted as payment for group visits.

There is parking space reserved for buses or vans during your field trip. If chaperones drive their own cars they may find metered street parking; the group visit fee does not include parking in the Museum parking lot.

Please be sure to make lunch plans elsewhere for your group. The Museum does not have space available for group lunches or snacks but can provide a list of nearby parks.
